SABRVets is a group dedicated to accumulating data about those connected with baseball who have served in the military or were replacements for those who did. This includes players, managers, coaches, umpires, scouts, executives, broadcasters and sportswriters from the Major Leagues, the Minor Leagues, the Negro Leagues, Japan and a few Amateurs who served in the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Indian War(s), the Spanish-American War(s), the Boxer Rebellion, the Mexican Border War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, VietNam, the Gulf War(s), the Afghan War, various Latin American insurgencies and/or peacetime in between. These data are used to manage a data base posted in the CMS area of SABR. As time goes on, other projects relating to baseball and the Armed Forces will be discussed and posted here.
